Wrap Around Care
Little Footsteps provides a place for children to go when they are out of school, but their parents are still at work. To provide the care children need when their parents’ work schedule gets in the way, Little Footsteps has a welcoming breakfast club and creative afterschool club to keep children busy. You can also sign your child up for our holiday club during school breaks.
Our wrap around care is run within our preschool class room and garden, however individual activities are planned and organised for these older aged children.

Breakfast Club

Our breakfast club opens at 7.30am and breakfast is served from the opening time onwards, allowing time for children to enjoy and digest their breakfast, which will consist of a range of cereals and toast, before walking them over to the Mattishall school.

After School Club

Little Footsteps will collect children from the Mattishall primary school and walk them back to the Nursery onsite. Our Afterschool Club offers lots of outdoors activities and exercise to relax and have fun after school. The adults ensure there is plenty of age appropriate games and resources available. Children can have ‘free-flow’ access to the outside environment throughout their time with us.

This includes a range of activities such as: water and messy play trays, sand pit, bikes, wooden climbing frame, digging area, planting area and much more, allowing children to let off any ‘reserved energy’.

Holiday Club

The holiday club is held in the same area as the Afterschool club offering the above resources and activities. With the added bonus of:

✿ Trips out into the local community, walks around the village and to the park.
✿ Projects, e.g. science-make your own volcano, design and make your own t-shirt or board game.
✿ Themed days, e.g. cookery, puppet making, circus skills, sports day.
✿ In-house visits, e.g. Zoo Lab, fire engine, balloon magic, clown.

Children are provided with a healthy mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack. Breakfast, lunch and tea can be supplied at an extra charge, these will be well balanced, healthy and nutritious, based on the Norfolk County Council Nutritional Values Guidelines. All meals are homemade and prepared onsite by our qualified Chef and all ingredients are sourced locally (whenever possible). We offer vegetarian options and cater for all dietary needs. NO nuts will be allowed on site.
